The Team

John Flinn - BSc Hons/HCPC/AACP

I studied Physiotherapy at Manchester Metropolitan University before going on to work in the NHS, Private clinics, a GP clinic and a semi-professional football team. During my time working in hospital I developed knowledge in many areas of Physiotherapy (Orthopaedic / Respiratory / Neurological / Musculoskeletal) and have developed understanding of a range of medical conditions which allows me to treat complex patients in a holistic manner.

I have also completed Level 1 & 3 APPI Pilates courses and the AACP foundation Acupuncture course. I use both Pilates and Acupuncture as adjuncts to treatment of chronic pain conditions, especially lower back pain.

Jack Petroczy - Bsc Hons/BASRAT

I studied Sport Rehabilitation at the University of Salford where I gained vast experience working within sport injuries and rehabilitation, including Super League side Salford Red Devils and with HMP Holme House. I have also recently spent three seasons as Newton Aycliffe FC's first team therapist.

I am currently in my final year of study at Teesside University, undergoing my Physiotherapy Master's degree. Throughout my master's experience, I have developed my knowledge across a range of areas of physiotherapy, including placements with MSK outpatients, orthopaedics, and intensive care, at hospitals across the North East. This has enabled me to be thorough and rounded in my assessment and treatment of a wide range of musculoskeletal injuries and conditions.

I have a passion for empowering and improving others through physical activity, and enjoy many different sports, particularly football and cricket.

Andy - HCPC/ MSc Hons/ PgCert

Andy qualified as a Physiotherapist in 2004, completing a degree in Sport Science & Biology in Chester, followed by an MSc Physiotherapy. He later went on to complete a PgCert in Advanced Clinical Practice at Teesside University.

Clinically he has 19 years of experience, both within the NHS, GP practice, private practice and sport.

His favourite clinical cases are those involving significant rehabilitation and returning patients to an active lifestyle. Andy particularly enjoys rehabilitation after Anterior Cruciate Ligament Reconstruction and Tendinopathy management.

He has completed many external courses in Strength and Conditioning, Olympic Weight-lifting and Sports Related Rehabilitation. This ensures that patients get the right balance of treatment, including both hands on where required and restoring capacity in the tissues to allow a full return to whatever a patients goals may be.

Nathan - BASRaT

I studied Bsc Sports therapy and rehabilitation at Teesside university, where I gained experience from placements at Hartlepool United and connect health in Darlington. I have seen and treated various musculoskeletal injuries while I have been on my placements and at university. I am currently the first team sports therapist for Richmond Town FC. I have a passion for sport and was a competitive swimmer when I was younger reaching regional/national level.
